Use the instructions supplied for the exact research material and physical state. This page does not assign a universal storage temperature, shelf life or solution expiry to peptides.
At receipt
Record the material and lot, date, container condition, instruction reference and storage location. Retain original temperature data when provided. Note unknown shipping history as unknown rather than inferring it from the parcel’s condition at delivery.
After a change in state
A dry-material instruction does not automatically apply after dissolution. Record the solvent, final concentration, preparation time and applicable procedure separately. Neither clear appearance nor a calculator result establishes chemical stability.
When a condition deviates
Preserve the event record, identify affected lots and refer the disposition decision to the responsible qualified laboratory personnel. Ask for evidence tied to the actual material and conditions. Avoid copying expiry claims from unrelated sequences or formulations.
Thermo Fisher’s handling sheet illustrates manufacturer-specific instructions for its standard peptides. It is not a Colossus stability study. Use lyophilization and solubility to distinguish physical-form questions, and the testing guide for interpreting analytical evidence.
